FREE GEEK MICHIANA both reuses and recycles. We reuse all the components that we can in our FreeBoxes. What we cannot reuse, we recycle.

Solid Waste Districts

FREE GEEK MICHIANA works with the Solid Waste Management Districts in the counties in which we operate.

FREE GEEK MICHIANA sells our recyclables to raise operating funds. Whatever material is left goes to the St. Joseph County or LaPorte County Solid Waste Management District recycling centers.

FREE GEEK MICHIANA now has a local warehouse in South Bend which includes an office, pallet rack space, truck bays and forklifts. Use of the space and equipment is donated by a local business.

How You Can Help

FREE GEEK Michiana needs computer systems to refurbish and distribute.

Please drop off your donated equipment at the:

• Salvation Army Corps in South Bend, IN
• Tuesdays, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Driving directions

Remember there is a $15 recycling fee for all monitors, no exceptions.

FREE GEEK Michiana accepts whatever computer equipment you bring us. However, if your computer equipment is older than a Pentium or Mac PowerPC, or, if it is broken, we appreciate a cash donation to cover processing.
