FREE GEEK Michiana registered on December 15, 2009, with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) as an e-waste collector and recycler.
Electronics manufacturers are now legally obligated to recycle at least 60% by weight of the products they sell in Indiana each year. Manufacturers must use registered collectors and recyclers if they want the collected and recycled material counted toward the 60% goal.
Manufacturers can now work directly with FREE GEEK Michiana.
As always, the public at large and any company or organization is welcome to donate old computers and peripherals with FREE GEEK Michiana.
